Alexandra Rozmarin
Alexandra Rozmarin, a freshman, decided to try her hand at journalism after learning about the different aspects of journalism, specifically photography. Other than being a co-founder of the “Girls Gazette,” a four-page newspaper she created with her best friend in third grade, this is Alexandra’s first year as a journalist. Her love of photography was influenced by her father, an amateur photographer, and she has been shooting videos and taking pictures since she was 6 years old. Alexandra loves seeing other photographers’ techniques and photos, making Instagram her favorite social media platform. However, photography is more of a hobby as Alexandra dreams of being an astrophysicist with NASA and wants to go to graduate school at Princeton University. She was drawn to their program because it is relatively small and would allow her more one on one time with instructors. Her interest in astrophysics stems from her love of math and interest in space; she believes this is a job where she could work all day and never get bored. If she could spend a day with any celebrity, it would be Chris Hadfield, a Canadian astronaut, and he would teach her all there is to know about being an astronaut. Her other hobbies include binge watching “The Office” on Netflix and playing volleyball. Alexandra’s favorite food is calamari with lemon, but she generally gravitates toward American food.
