Aaron “Take a Chance” Janse, a high school senior, is entering his first year of journalism. If he could spend his day doing anything, he would spend it enjoying the thrill and calming aspect of mountain biking. He especially loves to bike at Clara Reservoir, local trails where he can bike along many different routes. Janse frequently spends his time playing with his young German Shepherd, Sadie, and he prefers the classic California “sweatshirt weather:” warm with a cool breeze. With a love for computer programming, Janse aspires to use it to solve open-ended issues throughout the world as an engineer and work as one in ten years. He is fluent in English and wishes he could be as fluent in Spanish. An engaging conversation with passionate people thrills Janse. When it comes to the people, he values humor, especially perfectly-timed inside jokes that have the best context. Anyone could describe him as an enthusiastic and happy person, as he is always engaged and ready to constantly learn more about his friends and how to entertain Sadie, the most adorable friend he has ever made.
