Sana Purdhani, Reporter

Sana Purdhani is a sophomore in her first year of journalism class. Purdhani aspires to be successful and happy in life, while maintaining a good mental health. She speaks two languages, English and Hindi, both of which are spoken at her home. Family is important to Purdhani as she values those with humor and good advice, believing people with these qualities will be beneficial to her. Purdhani’s favorite quote is “everything happens for a reason” as it inspires her to get back on her feet when something knocks her down. The best advice Purdhani has ever received, given by her mother, is to believe in herself. She finds that it helps her build self-confidence socially and through her capabilities. Purdhani spends her free time drawing, doing graphic design on Adobe Photoshop, playing volleyball and baking cookies, brownies and cakes with friends. At school she plays volleyball, takes art classes and tutors for Learn It. People describe her as creative and observant because she’s an artist, both digitally and on paper. Purdhani hopes to bring awareness to the competitiveness of high school and the college admissions process because of its toll on students’ mental health. Purdhani is excited and motivated to shed light on mental health and other important topics while reporting for Aquila.
