Abigail Carpenter, Reporter
| Junior Abigail Carpenter, known as Abby to many, is currently in her first year in journalism. Outside of school, Carpenter enjoys crocheting, reading and rollerblading. She’s also passionate about dancing, reflected in her spot in UPA’s Daebak club, a hobby she hopes to keep pursuing throughout her life in addition to traveling the world and developing her photography skills. Carpenter deeply values compassion and empathy, characteristics she aspires to always have and see in those around her. She tries to always live life to the fullest, and act upon her desires, believing that it’s wrong to only have so much time and waste it. In journalism, she hopes to bring awareness to the importance of empathy in both in-person and online culture as well as kindness when forming relationships and friendships with others. Being a viewer of the Aquila for a while, she’s eager to understand the behind-the-scenes and be a part of the process. |
