Addison Nguyen, Reporter
Addison Nguyen is a freshman entering her first year of journalism.
Nguyen’s hobbies consist of dance (particularly jazz funk), art, fashion, listening to music and learning to play the guitar and ukulele. Nguyen has been dancing outside of school for two years now and plans to continue to do so. Her favorite music artists are Katseye, keshi and IVE. Through influence from Nguyen’s mother and grandmother, she lives by the motto of trying her best and starting fresh everyday. She treats every day as an episode of a show, which she says makes life feel less serious. She believes that rejection is redirection. Nguyen heavily values loyalty, humor and patience. To her, loyalty is extremely important since it is incredibly relieving to have somebody by your side through everything. Nguyen aspires to become a true ‘girl’s girl’. She aims to eventually own a motorcycle and in her idealistic world, become a celebrity. She plans to have late night rides on her motorcycle with her brother one day, and have enough money to live sustainably and buy her dream closet. Nguyen hopes to obtain good cooking skills, play the guitar, learn styles of dance, learn to sing and overall become a better person as she grows up. In journalism, Nguyen thinks a topic that needs more attention is women’s rights and in general, equality. Nguyen’s goals this year are to become a better speaker, writer and communicator. |
