Alexandra Batrez, Reporter
| Alex Batrez is a freshman who is entering her first year of journalism. Batrez has many hobbies including theater, painting and drawing. In theater, Batrez finds herself involved in the technology side of production that makes each show even more appealing to watch. Outside of school, her ideal day would consist of going to an amusement park with her friends and watching the sunrise or sunset, which she finds calming. She also enjoys spending time with her family, through whom she’s found her confidence as well as the traits she values most in herself and those around her. These traits include loyalty, authenticity and honesty. Her friends often also describe her as funny, which can be connected to her desire to portray her authentic self. In the future, Batrez sees herself in a position to help people, working as a school counselor or psychologist, a career inspired by her family. While Batrez sees herself in this career path down the line, she also finds theater to be an interest she wants to pursue in college as well. As a reporter in journalism this year, Batrez feels she can contribute a lot to Aquila and elevate her skills in writing while bringing a voice to harder hitting topics. Some topics she aspires to write about and spread further awareness on are the world of neurodivergencies. |
