Angelica Froumis, Editor-in-Chief
Senior Angel Froumis, one of Aquila’s 2024-2025 Editors-in-Chief, is in her third year of journalism. Froumis aspires to double major in graphic design and marketing to eventually write and illustrate children’s books that help kids cope with loss. Her passion for art stems from a young age and in her free time, she loves to express her creativity through painting. Froumis often organizes fundraisers and sells her paintings, most recently for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation in honor of her twin brother. She immensely values her Orthodox Christian faith which has been a prominent factor of her life, helping her get through tough times. Froumis finds herself drawn to friends who are loyal and have a sense of humor similar to her own.She is an extremely dedicated individual whether it be through the positions she’s held in clubs and in journalism, or her jobs with the charitable FILI organization and as a piano teacher. She reminds herself that you can’t please everyone, and to just be the best person you can be and the rest will fall into place. Specifically in journalism, Froumis loves being behind the scenes, both through designing and editing. In the past two years, she has focused primarily on journalistic design in her enthusiasm for illustration and through her Design Editor role. As an Editor-in-Chief this year, she hopes to keep our publication on track and especially hopes to uplift those around her and encourage others not to shy away from the hard hitting topics.
