Aria Kamdar, Reporter
Aria Kamdar is a freshman entering her first year in Journalism. In her free time, Kamdar enjoys solving jigsaw puzzles and playing Animal Crossing. Kamdar currently does Kathak, an Indian classical dance form which she has been doing since the age of 6, in addition to other various dance styles. Kamdar sees dance as a way to express herself, fueling her passion since she was younger. Kamdar values humor and loyalty in her friends as she believes the two combined build great character. Kamdar’s family and friends are important to her as well as food and her education. The best advice she has received was from her parents, which was to do the work as soon as you can to get it done fast. She believes doing this can help her feel less stressed and prevent procrastination. She has started to implement this into her life, and as a result, has noticed the increase in her free time. In journalism this year, Kamdar wants to emphasize speaking out about women’s rights as she notices that though it gets a decent amount of media attention, it should be getting more, especially issues relating to police brutality against women.
