Devon Bargas joined journalism in his senior year with intentions of becoming a better writer. He is also known as Devers, a nickname given by his mother, and enjoys summertime weather because he often visits Gilroy to spend time with family. Bargas has played various sports throughout his life such as basketball, baseball, football, soccer, and golf. Out of these activities, he has played soccer for the longest, as he has been in a competitive league since the age of four. Nowadays, he occasionally plays soccer as just a hobby. Besides sports, he is also an active video game player, playing games like Black Ops and Clash Royale. Bargas identifies himself as a leader who will always help or talk to someone in need. In the future, he aspires to teach others with his knowledge and good values. By working hard, he wishes to make enough money to put the people he cares for on payroll. If Bargas was given $1000, he would save or invest the money for future business opportunities. Bargas is motivated to keep pursuing his goals during hard times as demonstrated through the quote, “When it gets tough, the tough get going.”
