Sophomore Jacob Jimenez is a first year journalism student. In his free time, Jimenez enjoys riding his skateboard, hanging out with friends, visiting his grandmother, playing games and drawing. He enjoys action, adventure, role-playing and first person shooter games, such as “The Last of Us” and “Valorant.” Jimenez’s love for games and passion towards art guides him into admiring graphic design. Jimenez aspires to be a graphic designer for video game companies, derived from his passions. In his future career as a graphic designer, Jimenez believes that companies such as Respawn or EA—who make visually appealing games—are companies he would like to be a part of. Jimenez values traits like humor and friendliness in others because having people around him who are nice and can make him laugh are better than those who are rude and dull. As a reporter, Jimenez wants to bring focus to the aftermath of events and catastrophes since only the climax of such events—like Hurricane Hilary— are covered, usually overlooking the effects.
