Johannes Tsoi, Reporter
Junior Johannes Tsoi explores his curiosity of the journalism process by embarking on his first year in Aquila. Passionate about playing music and the Christian faith, Tsoi spends his leisure time volunteering his instrumental and singing talent with his church worship team. Having grown up playing the drums, piano, clarinet and the guitar, Tsoi has developed a deep connection with music, using it as a way to express himself. When he isn’t playing music or volunteering at church, Tsoi spends his time as a second year WEB leader. Not having a proper seventh grade orientation due to COVID, Tsoi values the importance of a proper introduction and the access to a set community. Tsoi believes true friendship is built on a foundation of honesty. Desiring genuine relationships, Tsoi values honest friends, believing they will hold him accountable for becoming the best version of himself. A motto Tsoi centers his life around is “Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord.” Psalm 150:6. Tsoi believes this motto is very applicable to everyday life and reminds him to live his life for the Lord. In the future, Tsoi hopes to become a speech therapist, wanting to leave a lasting impact on many individuals’ lives. As a reporter this year, Tsoi hopes to use his platform to bring awareness to the importance of being grateful. Tsoi believes many people can become consumed with the materialistic aspects of life, often forgetting to be grateful for the important but not guaranteed needs in life.
