Joshua Nguyen is a sophomore in his second year in journalism. In ten years, he sees himself graduating from a university, receiving his doctorate degree but is still undecided about what he wants to major in and where he wants to attend. If he had $1,000 dollars to spare, he would spend all the money on partying and food; specifically, burgers, which he could eat for the rest of his life. His parents are Vietnamese, and he speaks both English and Vietnamese at home. Nguyen values humor and friendliness in others; however, he only thinks half of his friends are funny and the other half are friendly. Nguyen’s favorite quote is from his father and reads, “Don’t give me a fish, but teach me how to fish.” This quote resonates with him because he does not prefer others doing tasks for him and would rather do them for himself. If given the whole day, Nguyen would spend all his time watching “Lucifer” on Netflix because of its comedy and character development. His friends would describe him as funny and caring. Despite his dark humor, his friends continue to view him as considerate for remembering details. He is an open book, and friendships are the most important to him.
