Juliann Jaison, Design Editor
Juliann Jaison is a sophomore entering her second year of journalism. Juliann writes, designs, reads and plays soccer both inside and outside of school. During her time in journalism, Jaison has written and designed two articles, both talking about social issues including how sleep impacts students and different types of feminism. Each article design has had different types of artistic style: one being picture heavy and the other more illustrated. She also plays soccer mainly for fun and has also joined multiple clubs and other extracurriculars, including ASB, WEB, Stickers 4 Service, ART and CML. Her deep interest in social issues and her hobbies makes her a passionate and caring person who is open to new things. Juliann values honesty in her friends and other people because she believes that being honest is very important to build a relationship and can show the true colors of people who you either trust or don’t trust. This year, Jaison serves as one of Aquila‘s design editors, ensuring that each magazine spread is neat and organized. When it comes to reporting, she hopes to continue focusing on social issues, specifically gender inequality and immigration. For design, she wants to create more vibrant spreads and is open to experiment new techniques and concepts. |
