Sophomore Jup Singh is entering his first year in journalism. Singh has a passion for basketball and plays for UPA as well as outside of school. In his free time, Singh likes to broadcast and record videos. His interest began when his religious community needed someone to help record and live stream the programs and this eventually turned into one of his passions. Singh appreciates humor in others, because he tends to be quite sarcastic and enjoys engaging with people who share a similar sense of humor. Religion plays a significant role in Singh’s life, guiding him to maintain a disciplined lifestyle, including his commitment to vegetarianism. He lives by one piece of advice, originating from his mother, to stop caring of what others think of him and to realize that people will always try and pick on your weakness and it’s best to ignore, which has helped him alot socially. Singh hopes to land a job in the tech industry that pays an amount that will allow him to live comfortably. His love for broadcasting and recording videos is something he wishes to pursue as a career, aiming to become a professional streamer. Singh’s journalistic goals this year include adding more broadcasting content to Aquila and focusing on podcasting due to his experience.
