Junior Lynette Tran is excited to be entering her first year of journalism. Involvement in her community is something that Tran highly values. Her love of her Vietnamese heritage sparked her desire to join UPA’s Vietnamese Student Association (VSA). This leadership role, combined with her participation in the National Honor Society and Interact have allowed her to contribute ideas to improve UPA as a whole. Tran loves to watch Chinese dramas in her free time, having transitioned from Korean dramas. Other hobbies that Tran frequently engages in include making breakfast foods, library hopping and shopping as “retail therapy.” During her first year in journalism, Tran aims to address global climate issues related to corporate companies and highlight the negative impact of human activity on the planet.
