Railynn Pearl Anicete is a sophomore entering her first year in journalism.

Outside of school, Anicete likes to draw, hang out with her family, spend time with her dog and play piano. She usually spends her day drawing, designing art and book panels online or learning new songs on her piano. She finds art as a form of self-expression and loves to surround herself with forms of designs, artworks and lots of creativity. Anicete loves both digital and paper art equally, dividing her days to make sure that she covers both forms of art together. Among her friends, Anicete values humor, respect and especially patience, describing herself as a person that is slow to process topics. Along with her hobbies and her values, Anicete also has a lot of aspirations, hoping to pursue a career in STEM or business. She hopes to be able to sustain a happy and exciting life while doing art and design on the side. At UPA, she’s taken part in many leadership positions, being part of VSA and a WEB leader. In terms of journalism, Anicete hopes to be able to design multiple pages for Aquila, as she loves seeing her ideas come to life.
