Sneha Madan is a senior entering her fourth year in journalism and second year as a co-Editor-in-Chief for UPA’s Aquila. Outside of school, Madan involves herself in a variety of extracurricular activities. Madan is part of UPA’s varsity basketball team, and hosts private coaching sessions on the side. She has also earned a black belt in taekwondo, practices the Indian classical dance Kathak outside of school and leads bollywood dancing in school as UPA’s Guzaarish’s co-president. She’s currently hoping to become a sports psychologist, a field revolving around the hobbies she has dedicated so much time and passion to. Madan deeply values empathy and patience in those around her since she recognizes that others often have struggles they don’t voice out loud. In addition, she makes it a personal goal to practice these qualities herself. Prior to her start as an EIC in her junior year, Madan was a team editor for Aquila. She has always had a passion for standing up for and assisting others, characteristics she showcased by advocating for free speech for Aquila last year. This year, Madan is eager to lead and empower those around her.
