Junior Sneha Madan is entering her third year in journalism and is one of Aquila’s 2024-2025 Editors-in-Chief. As a team editor in her previous year, she enjoyed writing, mentoring and leading her team which led her to her current leadership role. Madan has a passion for sports psychology due to her own involvement in multiple sports, and she aspires to work with athletes one day. Madan also loves to travel and hopes to continue exploring new places in the future. Her numerous extracurriculars include being point guard for Varsity basketball at UPA, a basketball coach for kids and an Indian classical and Bollywood dancer both in Guzaarish club as Co-President and outside of school. She began dancing when she was four and she has performed in many notable places, including the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Greece this past summer. Many may be surprised to find out that she has earned a black belt in taekwondo after several years of training, and is even interning as an instructor to younger taekwondo students. Madan values patience and empathy in others, as she believes we never know what people may be going through in their lives. As an Editor-in-Chief, she looks forward to leading the class with both dedication and compassion this school year.
