Sofia Alcaraz is currently a freshman entering her first year of journalism. Alcaraz has a strong work ethic, leading her to have high aspirations in life. In her free time, Alcaraz enjoys crocheting and sewing. She’s active in both cheer and dance, but prefers cheer as her main sport. Alcaraz aspires to become an anesthesiologist when she’s older, hoping to go to college at Stanford. Alcaraz values kindness, humor, forgiveness and common sense in others. She likes to be around people she can depend on and aligns herself with these values as well. Her friends describe her as funny and sweet. In journalism this year, Alcaraz hopes to write in-depth articles and take photos for Aquila. She wants to see positive changes in the world, hoping to move people who read her writing.
