Solomon Ghebregziabhier, Reporter
Sophomore Solomon Ghebregziabhier is beginning his first year in journalism. Outside of school, Ghebregziabhier enjoys playing soccer and aspires to play professionally one day. Playing for Legends FC, a semi-pro team, Ghebregziabhier has not only learned important skills to apply on the field, but also off the field. He has had to work hard on his team, and has learned to adapt to new and different people and situations. Ghebregziabhier values his family and looks towards his brothers as role models. He allows himself to be patient and let everything happen as it is meant to, therefore learning to make the mistakes that help him to grow as a person. “Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man young, healthy, wealthy and wise,” by Benjamin Franklin often inspires Ghebregziabhier. He uses this mentality everyday to motivate himself to remain healthy and on track with his schedule and goals for his future. Ghebregziabhier is excited to start his first year of journalism and report on important problems, such as communities with poor education systems and sanctuary. He believes that different perspectives are important to any issue when reporting, and is looking to share his own perspectives while hearing others’.
