Alexa Garcia is a senior entering her second year of journalism. Garcia enjoys watching soccer, particularly Spanish soccer and UK leagues. Her favorite teams are FC Barcelona and Manchester City in those leagues. Additionally, she has a great interest in watching Formula One, in which her favorite driver is Sergio Perez, a Mexican driver for the Red Bull team. She values loyalty, honesty, being outgoing and sarcasm because she believes you always need someone in your life who can be trusted. Garcia values her family the most, as they support her during her lowest moments. Her Mexican heritage and culture are also very important to her as they represent her identity. Garcia’s journalistic goals this year include ensuring that different points of views are shared and heard. She also wants to focus on the social media aspect of journalism and reaching new audiences.
