Aparna Ayyadevara, Publicity Manager Shadow
Aparna Ayyadevara is a sophomore and a second year in journalism. Ayyadevara enjoys spending her time dancing, cooking, baking and watching sitcoms such as “New Girl” and “Gilmore Girls.” She’s passionate about dancing and started when she was four years old, doing Bollywood dancing before later changing courses and learning Bharatanatyam. Ayyadevara started learning to cook and bake when she was eight years old, watching cooking videos and taking interest in learning to make the same recipes herself. Soon after, she took charge and has been a genius in the kitchen ever since, making delicious banana bread and impressing all Italians with her pasta. Ayyadevara is in her second year with UPA cheer. She enjoys competition season the most out of the cheer season. Among all her many other talents, due to her love of hair and makeup, Ayyadevara hopes to design these products in the future. Ayyadevara values spending her free time with her friends and family, and appreciates their support and humor. Ayyadevara’s first contribution in journalism last year was a food article titled “Let’s Get Chaat and Chat,” where she and another reporter reviewed different Indian restaurants and their chaat. Some of her favorite articles to write are in-depths and food reviews, her favorite contribution being an in-depth on curly hair identity and routines. Ayyadevara aims to take photos for future articles and practice her overall photography skills this year.
