Cece Le Messurier, Copy Editor Lead
CeCe Le Messurier is a sophomore at UPA in her second year of journalism. Le Messurier values friendliness and kindness because she believes it can make or break someone’s day. She believes in treating others as if it is the last time she will ever see them because it helps her appreciate the little interactions she has with the people in her life. In 10 years, Le Messurier hopes to have traveled the world and visited places such as Italy, Morocco and Bali. Due to her love for linguistics, she aspires to have a stable career as a speech therapist, translator or something similar. She hopes to surround herself with books and would love to fill her future house with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. Influenced by the anime “Ouran High-School Host Club”, Le Messurier and her friends started UPA’s first Host Club in 2023, where she served as an officer for two years and was president last year. When not at school, Le Messurier reads, paints, swims competitively and is a semi-professional lawn bowler. She has been painting regularly for the last four years, her favorite medium being acrylic. As a journalist, Le Messurier loves to edit written works as she enjoys reading other people’s content and trying her best to make sure it’s perfect for publishing. Her favorite contribution to Aquila was “#Pageturner” which she enjoyed due to a shared passion with interviewees about books.
