Freshman Cece Le Messurier is eager to be entering her first year of journalism. Le Messurier has been a part of multiple swim teams since 2020, and joined the Valley Splash swim team in 2022. She appreciates the way that swimming relieves her stress and requires her focus–—her favorite swimstyle being breaststroke. She hopes to continue swimming throughout highschool and college as it has become a stable routine for her. Le Messurier is also an avid reader and enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy novels in her free time. She enjoys long books like “War and Peace” and “The Count of Monte Cristo.” In the future, Messurier hopes to have a stable career in order to have the freedom to travel the world and visit destinations like Dubai, Beijing and Florence. The best advice Le Messurier has received is to treat others as if it is the last time she would ever see them, as this principle reminds her to value other people and the world she lives in. As a reporter this year, Messurier hopes to shed light on how mental health impacts a student’s performance.
