Kara Luayon is a sophomore entering her 2nd year in journalism. Luayon likes to spend her free time listening to K-pop and collecting Mofusand figurines. In school, she runs the Filipino club, which she started with her sister, and has been part of the UPA theater program for the past four years. Her first article for the Aquils was “Ear Blasting Brilliance”, a profile on the UPA band, Tinnitus. Her favorite article she wrote however was “Laufey in the Bay”, a Laufey concert review. As a member of Aquila, she likes to focus on designing articles and drawing illustrations. Luayon’s goal for this year includes writing articles faster and more timely.
