Luca Scarra, Social Media Manager
Luca Scarra is a senior at UPA and has been in journalism for two years now. Scarra enjoyed attending the National High School Journalism Convention in Chicago because he gained more interest in journalism. When Scarra becomes older, he would like to be a professional rugby player even though they are not paid well. His love for rugby only grew over time, as he has grown up playing the sport since he was eight years old. As a back-up plan, even though Scarra dislikes math, he would work in the commerce or finance careers simply because “money is cool.” If Scarra were to get his hands on a large amount of money, he would buy Canadian rugby jerseys and sweatshirts. Due to UPA’s uniform policy, most of his wardrobe consists of uniform clothes and the small amount of non-uniform clothes he owns no longer fit. Scarra enjoys the rainy and cloudy season, and he finds the sound of rain to be soothing and feels as if he can think better during the rain. Besides English, he also speaks a little bit of Italian from his dad’s side. Some characteristics that he looks for in a friend would be honesty, patience, and happiness.
