Evelyn Ramirez, a senior at UPA and third-year Aquila staff member, has dreams of becoming a nurse or a social worker for kids in the future, a career choice that stems from her love for helping and nurturing children. Ramirez also enjoys travelling to places with her friends and cousins, and hopes to continue her adventures in the future. The best advice that Ramirez has ever received is to not let others hold her back and to always try her best, two philosophies she has applied to her own life to deliver on her full potential. To inspire her, she has an app that provides her with motivational quotes. She also enjoys comedy and sees herself as a funny and helpful person. Family is very important to Ramirez because she knows they will always be there for her. Ramirez is also very close to her cousins because they are all around the same age. At Aquila, Ramirez serves as a page designer and has worked on five spreads. Even though this is her last year in journalism and UPA, she still sets high goals that she hopes to accomplish by graduation.
