Nadia Hamilton, Team Editor Lead
Junior Nadia Hamilton is currently in her third year of journalism. Hamilton dances, crochets and likes stationery. She has been dancing for a total of ten years and has practiced ballet, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and latin dance, though she specializes in ballet. Nadia Hamilton also enjoys crocheting and began in eighth grade. She initially began learning under her mom’s guidance, but eventually joined UPA’s crocheting club. Hamilton values honesty in the people around her and she believes that, in today’s society trust is more important than ever. Nadia’s family also plays a major role in her life and she is close to all of them. In her past years in journalism, Nadia has been a team editor, a managing editor shadow and a web manager shadow. Her first article, “Gear Up,” featured student’s unique hobbies. Last year, Hamilton wrote an article titled “Let’s Talk About Sex”. The article spoke about false media portrayals of sex and covered diverse perspectives and situations. This year, Hamilton hopes to write more on topics that may be controversial like this that need more media attention.
