Nadia Hamilton, Team Editor
Nadia Hamilton is a senior starting her fourth year of journalism. At UPA, she’s a part of the AAPI and VSA clubs, focusing on sharing her cultural identity through performances and meetings. She takes pride in dancing and has danced since she was five, something she hopes to continue doing when she goes to college. She also enjoys other creative activities such as crocheting. In others, Hamilton values honesty and transparency, believing it too easy for people to lie and not take initiative to tell the truth. Another quality that is also important to Hamilton is ambition. She tries to do her work to her full potential and not take the ‘easy way out’. It is important for her to push herself to her limits and explore what she is passionate about. Hamilton’s favorite contributions to Aquila are her articles “Let’s Talk About Sex” and “The Weight of Carrying On.” Both articles were hard-hitting in-depths providing readers with new perspectives and topics that aren’t as commonly talked about. Hamilton focuses on many different aspects of journalism, although she especially likes writing in-depths, along with editing and mentoring through her role as a Team Editor Lead. Her journalistic goals for this year include writing more in-depth or opinion articles.
