Sophomore Samira Madden is in her second year of journalism. Madden swims, surfs, writes, snowboards, vlogs,  takes photographs and films. She swims outside of school for a year round competitive team. She uses videography as a way to film her experiences from her eyes and show how she views things. She also uses writing to express and reflect on how others see her as well as how she sees herself. Madden dreams and aspires to swim in college and the Olympics, and to be a successful lawyer and or judge. She hopes to maintain this dream within a span of 10 years. Madden values people who are passionate, funny, active, and unique. She loves to be surrounded by those who are driven by the things that they love. Madden also believes that people should find individuality and to stop the heavy influence of social media. Madden's favorite aspects of journalism are sharing information with her communities and bringing them together.
