Shreya Choudhury is a freshman entering her first year of journalism. Choudhury’s main aspirations in life are to stay ambitious and to keep growing. She wants to join more clubs and go to more social events to become a more open person. In the future, she sees herself with a design or business related job that she enjoys with a healthy environment around her. Since she is an introvert, she values friendliness in others because it helps her feel more comfortable around new people. She loves reading in her free time, especially murder mystery books like “The Silent Patient” by Alex Michaelides. Choudhury has a male Havapoo– a cross between a Havanese dog and a poodle– named Twix. She likes to teach him new tricks and just recently taught him the command “paw.” Her friends and family, including Twix, are important to her because they keep her happy and healthy. Her family always reassures her whenever something doesn’t go as well as she wants it to by emphasizing the effort is what counts. The best advice someone has ever given Choudhury is to believe in herself as it inspires her to have more confidence in herself and helps her believe that she is capable of many things. Choudhury hopes to bring more awareness to mental health because she wants people to know when to take a break and to understand themselves better.
