Thrisha Praveen, Team Editor
Thrisha Praveen is a senior entering her first year of journalism. She aspires to go into a field of work where she can help others, such as being a research biochemist. A quote she goes by is “Dreams don’t work unless you do,” which demonstrates her work ethic and determination in life. Thrisha could be described as an ambivert who likes spending time with others, but also values her own personal time. An important piece of advice she received from her mother was to prioritize herself above other things. Thrisha struggles with following this advice, but she understands the importance of doing so and hopes to apply this philosophy in the future. Outside of school and work, Thrisha enjoys Hindustani classical singing and has been singing for 12 years. She is also a part of Guzaarish, a Bollywood dancing club at UPA. Another club she is a part of is Speech and Debate, which has helped her think critically about the world around her and be vocal about matters she cares about. She also enjoys volunteering and donating to different causes, including homelessness and Black Lives Matter, to help her community outside of school.
