Yun Yun Fleishman, Reporter
Freshman Venus Fleishman, better known as “Yun Yun”, is in her first year in journalism. She values humor and friendliness because she believes that it leads to a fun and successful friendship, whereas being harsh makes it harder to connect. Fleishman is on the shy side and finds it harder to approach people first, so she appreciates when someone else is outgoing. She has four pet bunnies: Handsome, Puppy, Harley, and Binky—describing them as “cute but chaotic”. She attempts to teach them tricks by bribing them with food, but they eventually give up and wait for the treats to come to them. When she is not taking care of her bunnies, Fleishman likes to read fantasy and fiction books and to crochet, a recently discovered hobby. Other’s crocheting projects inspired her and she loved being able to create her own stuffed animals. Over the summer, she crocheted a little frog and is currently working on a hat. This year, she hopes to bring more attention towards students having healthy social lives outside of class by demonstrating how they destress outside of school and during lunch.
