Mariah Myers, Reporter
Mariah Myers is a junior coming into her first year with Aquila, and she is excited to try different aspects of journalism. Her hobbies include baking, hanging out with friends and going to the beach. Myers believes that friends are an important part of everyone’s journey and values kindness as well as being upfront with people. She desires to be around people that she can trust and truly be herself around. Though she enjoys time with her friends, Myers is also involved in her church and enjoys volunteering in the children’s ministry. Moreover, Myers loves going to the library and finding the next collection of books to read. She would describe herself as easy going because she is easy to get along with and talk to. Myers also describes herself as compassionate, as she deeply cares for her friends and family and would not trade them for the world. She is interested in becoming a nurse and is thinking about majoring in biology at San Jose State University. Myers speaks English and is currently learning Tagalog. Myers values honesty and believes it is important for people to be aware of the truthfulness that social media lacks. She also believes no one should ever compare themselves to others online. Lastly, Myers wants to grow more into her style through journalism.
